The Triangle future tower, expected in 2012, was designed by architects Herzog and de Meuron associated.
This project involves the construction of an office tower 200 meters high, located at the Parc des Expositions at the Porte de Versailles: XVth arrondissement in Paris. The building will marry the environmental standards of "Climate Plan de Paris". This tower comes in a vast program of construction of large buildings on the ends of Paris.

Described as "exceptional building" by the Mayor of Paris Bertrand Delanoe, the tower is a major project, controversial as it is the first skyscraper in Paris for 30 years. The Montparnasse Tower is the last major tower being built in 1972. The site of Paris Porte de Versailles exhibition center built in 1923 to host the Fair then occupied Paris during the war by the armed forces, the site is being modernized in the 1950s and expanded it to accommodate all types of events : commercial, scientific, technical, political or cultural. It currently includes eight exhibition pavilions with a total area of 220,000 sqm and welcomes every year approximately two hundred events in the foreground as the Boat Show, the Motor Show or agriculture and attracts over six million visitors from around the world. It is located southwest of the city, the boundary between the outer suburbs and the suburbs.

The proposed new skyscraper in Paris The city of Paris launched, led by Bertrand Delanoe, a competition to redevelop the site of the exhibition, won in 2008 by the tower project triangle. The exhibition will host at the earliest in 2012 a new office tower 200 meters high with an unusual design.

The 50-storey tower will form a large triangle almost flat and can accommodate about 5,000 employees. It is surrounded by numerous shops, a creche available for employees, a pool and probably a luxury hotel. A panoramic restaurant open to the public will be built on the top floor with stunning views of the capital. A new public square at the input of the Exhibition will be created to replace the current logistics area. This is a private project undertaken by the developer Unibail dealer. Its construction should not listen to the Parisians, it is the mayor of Paris who is providing the land and hopes in this way gain economic benefits due to job creation.

According to Jacques Herzog, the project aims to free the entrance of the exhibition to create a new green zone. The triangular shape was not chosen by chance, she can pass as much light and thus avoid creating shadows for local residents. Its orientation was also calculated, it is organized according to the wind and sunshine.

The tower triangle will be equipped with solar energy for a more adapted to current requirements. What we note: The tower triangle marks a dramatic entry into the exhibition

It will help to create an architectural symbol for the Development of the neighborhood around (shops, city park, tram ...) spawned unnouveau urban neighborhood and a more visible link Paris-suburb The triangular shape limits the impact of this very high skyscraper for its people's development of such a project is generating strong opposition especially in ecology.
